Theatre Arts - Associate in Arts for Transfer

The associate in arts in theatre arts for transfer degree is designed to provide students a clear transfer pathway to CSU campuses that offer bachelors degrees in theatre arts. This degree provides students with an understanding and an appreciation for the art of theatre and includes courses in acting, technical theatre, rehearsal and performance as well as an introduction to the theatre and play analysis. Completion of this curriculum will provide preparation for future theatre studies.

Associate Degree for Transfer Requirements Completion of 60 semester units that are eligible for transfer to the California State University, including the following: 1. The completion of the California General Education Transfer Curriculum (Cal-GETC). 2. A minimum of 18 semester units in a major or area of emphasis, as determined by the community college district. 3. Obtainment of a minimum overall grade point average of 2.0 4. Minimum grade of C, or P grade, for each course in the major. [The following Allan Hancock College graduation requirements will not be required:Health and Wellness, Multicultural Gender Studies and Allan Hancock College General Education.]
