Engineering Fundamentals - Certificate of Achievement

This program map only provides one possible pathway for degree and/or certificate obtainment and is for reference only. Please schedule an appointment with a counselor to develop your individualized Student Education Plan.

The Engineering Fundamentals certificate provides most of the courses taken by first-year engineering students at a four-year university. The certificate will prepare students for further coursework in engineering and other STEM areas, as well as for internship opportunities. Completion of the certificate will serve as a solid foundation on a student’s path towards an associate’s degree and/or transfer in engineering.

The pathway below represents an efficient and effective course taking sequence for this program. Individual circumstances might require some changes to this pathway. It is always recommended that you meet with an academic counselor to develop a personalized educational plan.

Apply fundamental concepts of mathematics (through calculus), science and engineering.

Conduct experiments and analyze and interpret data.

Recognize the need for, and an ability to engage in, lifelong learning.
